Job Coaches

A rewarding experience for individuals able to commit flexible time periods to provide support and assistance to service users helping them to develop appropriate job-related skills to the point of working independently.

Landau has a range of job coaches to meet the wide spectrum of clients. Landau matches individuals to an appropriate job coach following individual assessments of their needs and requirements.

Flexibility is paramount for our job coaches as working times are unpredictable and un-specified. Clients often need different levels of support, job coaches could be with the clients in their workplace all the time. Some clients may need the support when they are starting to settle in, and only need someone to stay with them part of the time. Others may just need to be checked on once a week, but there is always help at the other end of the phone.

Independant travel for many clients can be a major barrier. One to one job coach support in travel on specific routes to help clients gain confidence is the start towards independent travel for many.

Independence is what the programme is all about. Our clients want to work. They just need extra support to get them started.

Landau provides regular training sessions and reviews with job coaches whose role with the organisation is highly valued.
