Model of Support
Our tried and tested support structure provides:
- Help for people with learning disabilities overcome various barriers to become more independent
- Work placements in real work settings
- One-to-one job coach mentor support
- Benefit to the service user and employer
People with disabilities face various barriers becoming independent, with many experiencing direct or indirect discrimination which may lead to a lack of self confidence and isolation from others. Landau supports individuals through the initial training stages through work experience and helps to find a suitable vocation for all individuals.
We also employ job coaches to support individuals one-to-one in the workplace providing a mentoring and supervisory role.
The Programme
The Landau Model of Support is a tried and tested support structure that is as much for the benefit of the Service User as it is for the Employer. This support includes a full risk assessment and an individual job-coach working alongside the service user, information advice & guidance for all parties, a dedicated project coordinator to oversee the placement and financial support for the beneficiary in the form of travel expenses and personal-protective-equipment.
