Who are we?
The Shropshire Providers Consortium (SPC) is a collective of socially responsible community and voluntary sector organisations, working and bidding together for the benefit of the people and service providers of Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin. It is a purpose-built contracting vehicle run by and for its members, enabling joint working and helping members to meet client and beneficiary needs.
What we do?
At SPC we focus on the development of our members, creating a positive environment for collaboration between members and also with public sector commissioners and businesses. We encourage the development of good practice and provide a place to share expertise, avoid duplication and facilitate peer to peer support networks.
We provide the structures and skills to find, secure and manage a broad range of contracts and funding opportunities, enabling organisations to focus on what’s important: delivering high-quality services to diverse communities in Shropshire and beyond.
SPC pool the experience, skills and knowledge of its voluntary, community and social enterprise sector membership, enabling organisations to deliver seamless services to clients and customers as one.
Partnership Coordinator for BBO Shropshire
SPC will manage the partnership support groups for the cross-cutting themes of Gender Equality and Equal Opportunities and Sustainable Development: Project Equalities Group (PEG) and Partnership Sustainable Development Group (PSDG). We will ensure actions plans are in place for the PEG and PSDG and that these are regularly monitored for delivery and reviewed with input from a range of partners.
We will support Landau in ensuring compliance across the project with the Gender Equality and Equal Opportunities Policy and Sustainable Development Policy for the partnership. We will develop and raise awareness of the sustainability and efficient use of the project’s natural resources through providing regular communications to, and training for delivery partners to heighten awareness in all aspects of sustainability issues.
Through the Strategic Stakeholder Group (SSG), SPC will facilitate joint working with partners and the sharing of best practice, new ideas and innovation amongst partners and stakeholders from businesses, public service organisations and organisations representing disadvantaged people within Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.
We will capture and record participant journeys and experiences by running participant focus group sessions. This will be used for case studies and good news stories about the positive impact the project has had on an individual’s life.
