To provide tutoring/training and support for a range of individuals with mild to moderate disabilities.
The post holder may be required from time to time to undertake other duties, not specifically mentioned in this job description, but within levels of their salary scale. On occasion, there may be travel and work in unsocial hours.
Lead a small team of tutors, learning support assistants and volunteers
Deliver teaching and learning activities that support the development of skills and enterprise at the centre and for different groups of learners (both accredited and non-accredited)
Undertake robust person-centred initial assessments and create individual action plans
Where required, design training materials and resources in line with individual learner need and project requirements
Develop new approaches and techniques to effectively engage, support and retain learners on an individual basis
Manage and accelerate learner progress and achievement including championing RARPA
Ensure all paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner as per agreed requirements
To take part in learner reviews with parents/carers on a regular and agreed timescale
Deputise for the Centre Manager when required and act as an ambassador for Landau
To attend all relevant networking/promotional/marketing events as required
Ensure that the Centre Manager and where appropriate, learner support assistants are kept fully informed of learners’ progress
