Amy* has always worked full time, dedicating her work to helping others in residential homes, sadly a back injury caused prolonged absence from work which ultimately led to her unemployment.

Frightened…

Now having to adjust to a walking stick, chronic pain and her existing fibromyalgia she found herself depressed, demotivated and unemployed.

The job centre who had been supporting Amy recognized that Landau was best placed to help her given her complicated circumstances.

Tailored Plan…

Within just a few weeks of being referred to Landau, Amy had been taught basic IT skills, updated her CV and gained certificates in Health & Safety and Food & Hygiene.

By placing Amy in a group of people with similar challenges whom she got on really well with, Amy felt reassured that she is heading in the right direction. Her coach held mock interviews and helped Amy realize her potential instilling the confidence she so needed.

Shortlisted…

Amy was now able to secure herself an interview for a healthcare assistant position; struggling with nerves she recalled Landau’s advice to get her through the interview.

A week later Amy was delighted to hear she’d been offered the role and she’s now been successfully signed off as competent after learning tracheotomy care, PEG feeding and stoma care.

Reflecting on her experience with Landau, Amy said:

“I really don’t think I’d be working now if it wasn’t for all Landau’s support and advice. I can’t thank you enough for all your help.”
